Paramount Digital Entertainment and EarthLink have joined forces to create StarTrek.net powered by EarthLink, the universe's only ``Star Trek''-themed Internet access service.

Embracing ``Star Trek's'' popularity, the new service is designed to provide fans with fast and dependable access to the Internet and the ``Star Trek'' universe through themed dial-up and high-speed Internet connections.

The service launch is in conjunction with the premiere season of UPN's ``ENTERPRISE,'' the fifth installment of the ``Star Trek'' television series franchise.

Subscribers to StarTrek.net will receive the same Internet access that EarthLink subscribers receive, along with authentic ``Star Trek'' theming of their Internet access software and browser, a StarTrek.net email address, desktop customization options, and exclusive access to specially-created ``Star Trek'' content including planned ``sneak peeks'' at the ``Star Trek'' productions, in-depth interviews with the cast and crew of ``ENTERPRISE'' and previous ``Star Trek'' series, fictional documentaries about the ``Star Trek'' universe, news articles, photos, videos and more.
