THE LAST MAN ON EARTH
Fresh on the heels of his new producing deals at Warner Bros. ("Westworld", "Terminator 3", "King Conan : Crown Of Iron") Arnold Schwarzenegger and Warner Bros. are commencing negotiations with Will Smith to star and Michael "Pearl Harbour" Bay to direct, Richard Matheson's "I Am Legend".
Schwarzenegger had long been attached to "Legend," previously set with director Ridley Scott. Scripted by Mark Protosevich, the film is an adaptation of a story that takes place in L.A. after a biological war and pits the last man on Earth against a populace of vampiric nocturnal mutants. Previous feature film adapations of the novel include "The Omega Man" and "The Last Man On Earth".
